After sampling the first pancakes of the trip for breakfast (Steve went for biscuit and gravy, essentially a scone with mushroom sauce!!) we were ready for day 6.
With a battle charge of 'let's get burned to a crisp' our leader set the tone for a joyously sun-drenched day along the Oregon coast.
Today was as I'd hoped the trip might be. Not bad to have your expectations already exceeded less than a week in :-)
Mother nature with her whiley female intuition seemed to know my legs were feeling somewhat worked today and she sent a gift from the gods. A tailwind of magnificent proportions!
Within 15m we had spotted some squirting and whales tails, which is about all you'll really manage to see! Later some sealions surfing in the swell.
Then within 50miles we'd spotted supersize ice-creams! The best Pierre had tasted no less!
If Pierre had a cent for every time a voice squeaked 'wow.....stopping!' he'd be able to buy (another) corn dog.
When Steve first planted the seed for this trip at the airport coming back from New Zealand it had seemed an idea faraway from fruition.
And now we are here, living and loving every moment.
As Lighthouse Family sang 'the sky is so blue, the sun's gonna shine on everything we do'.
And speaking of families, this little reminder of ma famille!

you are giving me goose pimples - and a smidgen of green envy!! xxx
